- receipt of the applicable payment or deposit

- full payment at the time of booking
- partial payment as a deposit
- payment of the remaining balance before arrival

3. Cancellation policy

Reservations made through external platforms follow the policies of those platforms.
4. Check in and check out
Check in and check out times may vary between properties and will be communicated before arrival.
General guideline:
Check in: from the time indicated in the booking confirmation
Check out: until the time indicated in the booking confirmation
Early check in or late check out requests are subject to availability.
5. Number of guests
The number of guests may not exceed the maximum occupancy indicated for the property.
Unauthorized additional guests may result in cancellation of the reservation without refund.
6. Use of the property
Guests agree to use the property responsibly and to respect:
- the property itself
- neighbouring residents
- house rules provided for the accommodation
Parties or events are not allowed unless previously authorized.
7. Property damage
Guests are responsible for any damage caused during their stay.
If damage or loss of equipment or furniture occurs, guests may be required to cover the cost of repair or replacement.
8. Security deposit
Some properties may require a security deposit to cover potential damages during the stay.

Even in the absence of a formal deposit, guests remain responsible for any damage caused during their stay.
9. Right to refuse or terminate stay
True Story Houses reserves the right to refuse or terminate a stay if guests violate house rules, disturb neighbours, cause damage to the property or use the accommodation for unauthorized purposes.
In such cases, guests may be required to leave the property immediately without refund.
10. Liability
True Story Houses is not responsible for loss, damage or theft of guests personal belongings during their stay.
Guests are responsible for their own safety and for the proper use of the property facilities.
11. Circumstances beyond our control
In exceptional situations beyond the control of True Story Houses that prevent the use of the reserved property, we will make reasonable efforts to offer an alternative solution or provide the appropriate refund.
12. Changes to the terms
True Story Houses reserves the right to update these Terms and Conditions whenever necessary.

13. Governing law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by Portuguese law.
